Rich Homie Quan continues to catch flack for botching the words to The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Get Money" during Monday night's VH1 Hip Hop Honors, but Faith Evans, Biggie's widow, isn't joining the dog pile. Evans was chatting with TMZ recently and forgave Quan for the slip-up saying that those up in arms will get over it.

"Everybody makes mistakes, I’m sure he’s not the first person that messed up a Biggie line," she says in the above clip. "It just happened to be on that show."

Quan issued an apology via Instagram on Tuesday (July 12), writing, "Once on stage I had some technical difficulties and must admit I got nervous.I will forever be sorry to New York, my fans, Biggie Small, Lil Kim, and all the Hip Hop community for my performance. I hope you can accept my apology." RHQ followed that up with a radio interview this morning in which he explained that growing up, he listened to more Outkast than Biggie, saying that "Juicy" was the only song he knew from the latter.

Perhaps Evans' comments will smooth things over though after Rich Homie's own mea culpa, with Twitter users easing up some on their online jokes. The hashtag #RichHomieKaraoke sprung up yesterday showing that the public will waste no time roasting celebs when an on-air mistake, particularly one so egregious, is made. Check Faith give RHQ the pass in the video up above.
