Desiigner Sings “Timmy Turner” While Mike Dean Plays the Keys

Ever since his 2016 Freshman Freestyle was released, Desiigner's "Timmy Turner" has taken on a life of its own with little more than performative snippets to go from. That freestyle, in which he is snapping in more ways than one, has amassed over 7 million views in less than a month's time, and now the world is wondering when an official drop is coming.

"HE IS ALMOST HERE" the G.O.O.D. Music signee wrote on Instagram beneath a video of himself reciting the Fairly Odd Parents-referencing song while Mike Dean plays the piano. The two have posted clips online before, such as last month when they were sparking up listening to a recorded version of it. There has been plenty of hype surrounding the track, with the above clip only adding to it.

When the freestyle first dropped, Pro Era's Kirk Knight released a reworking of it, giving fans the closest thing thus far to a replayable version. For Desiigner, “Timmy Tuner” represents the answer to the larger question looming over his career of what’s next for the Brooklyn rapper after “Panda.” He released his first official project New English just last month (June 26), though the excitement for this unreleased track is thus far overshadowing it.
