With his infectious energy, it seems like Desiigner could make any activity fun. Case in point: playing Pokémon Go in the middle of New York City.

The 19-year-old Brooklynite linked up with GQ Magazine to hunt down Pikachus, Squirtles and Gengars and more recently (July 21). iPhone in hand and Louis Vuitton backpack secured on his back, Desiigner ran through Central Park with cameras in tow as he caught Pokémon. Even when people in the park recognize the 2016 XXL Freshman, Desiigner is unfazed by the sudden attention. His only focus is throwing his Poké ball with precision and accuracy. At one point, the "Panda" rapper nearly gets hit by a city bus in pursuit of the creature. Gotta catch 'em all, right?

For those who aren't obsessed with the latest gaming trend, Pokémon Go has officially taken America by storm. The location-based game uses your phone’s GPS to find Pokémon near you while also including landmarks within your surroundings, essentially bringing the fictional game to life. When the app was released earlier this month, millions of people worldwide began their quest to become a Pokémon master, including rappers. Desiigner is just one of many MCs whose been proudly obsessed with catching Pokémon in the real world. Rappers like Schoolboy Q, Waka Flocka, Wiz Khalifa and more have either tweeted or Instagrammed their love — and sometimes, hatred — for those pesky Pokemon.
