On July 25 the 2016 XXL Freshman Class Show took place at Los Angeles' Fonda Theatre, which was filled with positive vibes and packed to the brim with fans. The concert featured six of XXL's 10 freshmen: Desiigner, G Herbo, Lil Dicky, Denzel Curry, Lil Yachty and Dave East. Desiigner, G Herbo, and Lil Dicky hit the stage (21 Savage, Anderson .Paak, Kodak Black and Lil Uzi Vert couldn't make it).

Rocking a Metallica t-shirt and multiple gold chains, G.O.O.D. Music's Desiigner hypnotized a sold-out crowd with bangers including "Panda" and "Timmy Turner." At one point, he dove headfirst into the crowd, taking flight like the Jumpman on his black/red/silver Retro Jordan Vs.

Harlem native Dave East got the audience hype with his track "KD," spitting, "Beg your pardon, I ain't at the garden/I'm a Harlem nigga, I'm at Dyckman/My favorite shooter had to switch states, tryna stay low from indictments/I been the same nigga since diapers."

Meanwhile, Denzel Curry brought tons of energy, showing off his stage presence and talent as a pure MC. Lil Dicky performed his smash hit "Save Dat Money" and got down and dirty with a fan for "Lemme Freak," grinding and dancing without any pants in his usual hilarious fashion.

Lil Yachty donned a yellow cap and blue Supreme crewneck over a white t-shirt and performed cuts off his breakout mixtape, Lil Boat. During his set, the rising star from Atlanta brought out D.R.A.M. as a surprise guest.

Yachty wasn't the only artist to bring out a friend; to the crowd's delight, Lil Bibby came through for close friend, frequent collaborator and fellow Chi-town native G Herbo's performance.

The freshmen truly shut down Hollywood Boulevard. The annual event was as turnt as ever, and fans walked away with memories that should last a lifetime.
