De La Soul entered the world of video games. The legendary group partnered with the Angry Birds franchise as part of the latest update to the Angry Birds Action! game. Posdnuos, Dave aka Trugoy the Dove and Maseo created an exclusive track called "Action" that can be heard in-game when players download The Big Pig Update.

The new song isn't the only De La Soul presence that players can experience. The new update also brings a one-week event hosted by Angry Birds versions of the trio. This special occassion grants all players unlimited energy as a special power.

“We are thrilled to be collaborating with all-time hip hop greats De La Soul to bring fun new content to Angry Birds Action!” Rovio’s VP Games Miika Tams said of the group's involvement. "In this major update we also wanted to thank fans for making The Angry Birds Movie a No. 1 hit in 52 countries, so we thought it was a great time to unlock Piggy Island for everyone."

“We are fans of the game, so we were very happy to be involved," De La Soul member Posdnuos added.

De La Soul's got much more on the way when it comes to new music. The "Me, Myself and I" trio's long awaited album And the Anonymous Nobody is scheduled to drop on Aug. 25. The LP has gone through many delays over the past year since it first got funded through a Kickstarter campaign. Now, fans are just a little over a month away from hearing the first De La Soul album in 11 years.
