Bankroll Fresh's alleged killer says he shot the rapper in self-defense. In a new interview with Vlad TV, No Plug admitted that he shot the Atlanta rapper and explained the situation that the led up to Fresh's death.

No Plug said that he and Bankroll Fresh were longtime friends but had a falling out. In late 2015, No Plug had Fresh escorted out of the Ninth Ward when the rapper attempted to come to a turkey drive. This incident would be catalyst to an altercation that happened the night of Fresh's death.

The night of Bankroll Fresh's death began with No Plug going the studio to meet another person. Plug planned to go to their show where he would pass out his CDs. But Fresh supposedly learned of his arrival at the studio and confronted him there.

"I'd say five or 10 minutes of me being in there, he approach me from behind," No Plug said. "First thing he said was, 'Damn bruh, why'd you let them put me out the nine?' I'm like that shit old bruh. I don't wanna hear about that shit bruh. Just keeping rapping. Go and do your thang. So, he was just so stuck on that old situation. They said his female friend came straight, told him I was down there. She seen me come in. They said she told him, 'Relay the message.' He came down, approached me with the situation."

No Plug explained that he and Bankroll Fresh got into a small fight at the studio. The incident was brief and no punches were thrown.

"He was talking a lot of shit," No Plug explained. "I was like, 'Bruh I ain't tryna hear that shit. So, I turnt around tryna... I was finna leave, he tried to mush me. When he tried to mush me, I just grabbed him. I grabbed him and we tussled. We fell down the steps and our childhood friend C-Note, he broke the shit up.".

After that, No Plug left the studio. But as he was pulling away, he realized that he dropped both of his phones during the scuffle. No Plug turned around to retrieve his phones. But before he could get out of the car, Bankroll Fresh came out with around 15 people. Plug claims that all of them had guns. Plug said Fresh fired a shot at his car. In response, he shot back and Fresh got hit.

"He came out playing with the [gun]," No Plug asserted. "He fired a shot and shit happened. We pulled off, he end up dead. That's simple as shit was. Like he pulled the gun, shot the motherfucker, couple shots got fired back, he got hit, I leave. Next thing you know, folks calling me saying 'Fresh dead.' I called my lawyer S. Joseph, Gucci Mane's lawyer. Gave him $10,000, go down to the homicide. Tell Ms. Benton everything, and shit, everything was great. End of story."

Police filed no charges against No Plug. According to Plug, the video of the shooting proved that he was telling the truth. He also blames the people surrounding Bankroll Fresh for the late rapper's death. He believes they were encouraging Fresh to confront him instead of simply letting Plug retrieve the phones.
