Over the long holiday weekend, Atlanta rapper and 2016 XXL Freshman 21 Savage unveiled the release date for his long-awaited full-length collaboration with Metro Boomin, Savage Mode. Now we've got a cover and a date – July 15.

A couple weeks ago, a snippet surfaced of what sounded like Future spitting on an unreleased 21 Savage song. Seeing how close Future and Metro are, stands to reason that the Wizard might be featured on Savage Mode. 21 even brought Future out at a recent show, further adding to the hype.

For the past year or so, 21 has become the hottest young artist to emerge from Atlanta's ever-evolving rap scene. His music is no nonsense, cut with zero filler and made for real hustlers only. A full-length project with the producer of the moment only adds to his momentum; Young Thug's engineer said Savage Mode is "hi fi street music."

"[I bring] the street side, like the street side is just fading away," 21 told XXL for his Freshman interview. "It’s all about fashion and shit. Fuck all of that. Rappers are getting killed. I feel like niggas don’t be talking about that."

At a recent show in ATL, 21 got to prove he's really in the field. A fight seemed to break out at a venue 21 was performing at when he simply jumped off stage and disappeared into the crowd. You can see that footage right here.
