The Roots Picnic is expanding to New York City. Wu-Tang Clan, Kevin Gates and Freddie Gibbs are among the festival's biggest hip-hop acts.

The event has been held strictly in Philadelphia for the past nine years. Per Billboard, the picnic's inaugural NYC edition will take place October 1 and 2 in Bryant Park.

The first night's headliners are The Roots, John Mayer and D'Angelo. The second night will feature the entire Wu-Tang Clan along with David Byrne and Nile Rodgers -- all accompanied by The Roots' live instruments. Other acts include Jeremih, Swizz Beatz and Lil Uzi Vert. You can view the festival flyer and full list of acts below. Check out the festival's promotional video, narrated by Chris Rock, via YouTube.

The Picnic will serve as the first-ever ticketed concert held at Bryant Park. New York City has become something of a second home to The Roots because of their gig on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. With music, food, comedy and more, you won't want to miss this specially curated event. You can cop tickets to NYC's The Roots Picnic starting June 10 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com.

In an interview with Billboard, Questlove divulges some information about the NYC event. "New York is a second home to us," he says. "There's going to be pop up shops there, really good curated food, comedy, DJ parties there and acts that you wouldn't expect... We're deeply involved in everything, from the grass area to the food you're gonna eat to the music you're gonna hear in between. We're a part of all of that."
