Vic Mensa links up with Lil B, Le1f, Halsey and Malik Yusef for a new track called "Free Love." The Save Money rapper dropped the nearly six-minute record on Sunday (June 26) in honor of the LGBTQ Pride Parades in New York City and Chicago.

The 23-year-old Chicago artist stands with the LGBTQ community on the Papi Beatz-produced instrumental, voicing his opinion through clever punchlines. He touches on situations in North Carolina, Florida and elsewhere around the country. On his second verse, Vic spits, "I guess love ain’t free, there's a fee, they cut your paycheck/It’s a free country, that's unless you love the same sex/To people with no place to stay, I hope you stay blessed/You ain't gotta flex that you straight, long as you straight flex."

He continues, "North Carolina go on and raise up/Take your shirt off, wave it at your haters/Same judge to vote against the trans bathrooms/Got some skeletons in the closet of his own bedroom/Tried to kill Bill Clinton for that Monica Lewinsky shit/But let’s be honest, nobody out here really innocent/But lesbians is put parallel with Jeffrey Dahmer/Eating people, eating pussy, there's a difference, your honor/Who died and crowned you king to judge the way I do things?/Marry your middle finger, nigga, fuck your diamond ring."

Mensa isn't a novice when it comes to making political statements. The Hyde Park native dropped his mixtape There's a Lot Going On in early June, and its lyrics contain plenty of social activism. Last week, he teamed up with over 150 artists and industry executives to send a letter to Congress in the hopes of curbing gun violence in the U.S.
