Vic Mensa is on the come-up in a big way, but it looks like he got a taste of what it's like to be normal on a recent United Airlines flight.

The Roc Nation rapper was reportedly kicked off of a United Airlines flight for being on the phone before take-off. In his defense, Vic claims that he was on the phone with a depressed fan who needed to talk with him. And to top it off, the former XXL Freshman got kicked off the flight on his 23rd birthday.

Lashing out at the airline via Twitter, Mensa let it be known he was kicked off for what he believes to be a bogus reason.

"Thanks @united for kicking me off my for talking to a depressed fan who needed help on the phone when the plane wasn't even flying yet," tweeted the 23-year-old MC in all caps. He also told his fans to tweet at you United, telling them "fuck you" for kicking him off his flight.

Vic has since deleted his angry tweets but not before getting a response from those who man United Airlines social media. "Thank you for reaching out to us," United answered Vic. "Can you please DM us the details so we can better understand?"

In a comment to XXL, United Airlines says, “We have reached out to Vic Mensa directly and are working with him to get more details about what happened.”

Aside from a highflying headache, the Southside Chicago rapper has been doing pretty well for himself this year. After signing to Roc Nation back in April of 2015, Vic has been in the studio with Canadian producer Kaytranada and The Gorillaz crafting his debut album. He celebrated his born day by dropping his first mixtape under Roc Nation, There's A Lot Going On this past Friday, providing powerful visuals with the music.
