Summer is just 13 days away, which means it's the time for road trips to the beach, barbecues and memories with friends. And some of rap's most notable names have once again chosen the summer to drop their projects, providing us with a soundtrack for all summer '16. Big names like Drake are already providing the airwaves with big chunes (DJ Khaled voice), but there's still plenty in store from the likes of Lil Durk, YG, The Game and Lil Bibby this month alone.

Though Cash Money Records CEO Birdman has never really left hip-hop's spotlight for one reason or another, he hasn't dropped a solo album since 2009's Priceless. But that's about to change as the Rich Gang leader has been teasing not one but two albums: his own LP, Ms. Gladys, and Rich Gang's second compilation album due out in July.

The Game is set to star in a new A&E original docuseries called The Streets of Compton and along with his testimony, has decided to drop a mixtape of original music by the same name. Not to be outdone, fellow Compton MC YG will drop his second studio album, Still Brazy, as the follow-up to his Def Jam debut, 2014's My Krazy Life. And even though he's battling some major legal drama and had to pull out of his tour with Lil Uzi Vert, Florida rapper Kodak Black wants to remind fans he still got bars with the Lil B.I.G. Pac mixtape dropping on his birthday, June 11.

Keep in mind, this doesn't count for the surprise summer drops hip-hop is accustomed to. Here are the hottest hip-hop releases to check for in June 2016.
