Lil Durk is currently prepping the release of his new project, Lil Durk 2X, which is set to drop June 24 on Def Jam. Today (June 10), the Chicago artist drops off a new heater called, "True." Listen to the single above via YouTube.

For three minutes, the OTF rapper spits using his trusty auto-tune flow over a haunting, bass-heavy instrumental courtesy of Sonny Digital. The South Side, Chi-town native rides the beat effortlessly, rapping, "Got a Glock with a beam/Bada boom, bada bing/Ops not on a thing (Let's get it!)/We need some real big rings."

In May, Durk sat down with XXL for an interview detailing the new album, his recent visit with Philly's Meek Mill, and his relationship with Detroit's Dej Loaf. If you missed it, be sure to check out Durk on XXL's Ante Up podcast discussing all things basketball, including the NBA Playoffs, Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.

Durk is one of many young rap stars repping the Windy City. From time to time, he likes to escape 64th and Normal and vaca in the hills of Los Angeles, as he does for his recent music video for "Mud."

You can pre-order Lil Durk 2X for $11.99 now via iTunes. The follow-up to last summer's Remember My Name will include 14 tracks with features from the likes of Future, Young Thug, Yo Gotti, Dej Loaf and Ty Dolla $ign. Keep it locked to XXL for a review of the new album when it drops on June 24.
