The dynamic duo of trap rap is together again. Gucci Mane has linked up with his longtime producer Zaytoven after being released from prison last week. Guwop's 1017 Records posted some clips to their Instagram page showing the two collaborators listening to some tracks in the studio.

Gucci Mane's first post-release song, "First Day Out Tha Feds," was produced by hit maker Mike WiLL-Made It. With that out of the way, it's only right that Gucci teams up with his go-to producer for a new batch of records.

If fans had any doubt that Zaytoven would be working with Gucci Mane again, they clearly missed his recent interview with the Red Bull Music Academy. The producer talked about how Guwop was the first artist to champion his work.

"Gucci is a guy that promoted me to the fullest," Zaytoven explained. "It don’t matter where we go. We can go to the studio with Jay Z, he gon’ talk about me like I’m the best producer in the world, and I didn’t even have no songs at the time. I didn’t have no big records."

Zaytoven said that Gucci Mane truly inspired him. The "Icy" rapper helped the talented producer believe in his skill behind the boards.

"I give a lot of credit to Gucci because he gave me the confidence to feel like okay, well I am the best producer, to him I am, and he’s one of the hottest guys out," Zaytoven said. "So it helped give me the confidence to be who I am."

One may wonder if the chemistry between Gucci Mane and Zaytoven as changed at all during their time apart. That subplot should make Gucci's first project following his prison stint all the more fascinating.
