The latest rumor of Frank Ocean's whereabouts might be the most ridiculous yet. A picture of Ocean wearing scrubs led to speculation that the singer went to medical school. This is not true as the photo actually came from the set of an unofficial music video for Ocean's "Thinking About You." While it was not an official release by the singer, he did make a cameo in the video as a nurse.

Frank Ocean's stint out of the public eye has allowed rumors like this to gain momentum. Just a few weeks ago, a Twitter account trolled many of the singer's fans by promising his follow-up to Channel Orange would be released on June 3. This was yet another false rumor that received much traction on social media due to Ocean's decision to stay out of the limelight.

The Odd Future member finally made a public statement last week, but the comment was addressing the tragic events that took place in Orlando. Frank Ocean went on his Tumblr account to recall the anti-gay sentiment he has experienced and express his sadness over the people who lost their life in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

"Many hate us and wish we didn’t exist. Many are annoyed by our wanting to be married like everyone else or use the correct restroom like everyone else,” a portion of his post reads. "Many don’t see anything wrong with passing down the same old values that send thousands of kids into suicidal depression each year. So we say pride and we express love for who and what we are. Because who else will in earnest?"

The post was a heartbreaking read, but one that that cannot be ignored. Frank Ocean's profile hopefully led to these powerful words being read by those who needed them most.
