In a new interview with The Breakfast Club, Fabolous reveals that he's going to release a mixtape in July and possibly another project in August.

The 38-year-old rhymer tells DJ Envy and Angela Yee, "I think I'm gon throw somethin' out in July, man. But I might go July and August. I got so much stuff, so much music. It's really just me trying to figure out when to let it out or how to let it out. I got some summertime music, so I'm ready."

Throughout the nearly seven-minute interview, Fab also touches on other topics including the Troy Ave shooting and the way music has changed.

"Music has changed," Fabolous says. "It's more about making a song that's catchy and everybody likes. But it's not as lyrical, where everyone's down to the bars and picking apart what you say. Even if you've heard me on the radio, you might even forget I can rap in that fashion. That's part of the reason I did the Friday night freestyles."

The Brooklyn rapper recently put out an "All the Way Up" freestyle with Meek Mill. Prior to that release, Fab dropped a "Panda" Remix, which included a plethora of fire bars. He lowkey clowns Los Angeles Lakers guard on the record, spitting, "You aint fam I don’t trust ya, niggas'll jam up your hustle/Your own man wanna crush you, that’s a D'Angelo Russell."
