A business deal gone bad is forcing Cali legend DJ Quik to take legal action against a rapper who hails from his hometown of Compton.

Quik made the situation public on Twitter, earlier, briefly tweeting about the issue. "Guess what Compton rapper I'm about to sue?," he posted. Followed by "You'll see."

The cryptic first tweet has since been deleted and the producer/rapper didn't expound on the topic, only leading to speculation. There aren't a whole bunch of Compton rappers, especially ones well known enough for Quik to be announcing his legal intentions to the world about.

Quik has a lengthy production resume that includes tracks for legends like 2Pac, Snoop Dogg and Eight Ball & MJG. According to his Wikipedia discography, the only song he's produced for a Compton rapper recently is the The Game track, "Quik's Groove (The One)" featuring Sevyn Streeter & Micah. There are often things left out of these lists and of course they don't cover any uncredidted work he may have done with a given artist.

As of recently, Quik has been working extensively with fellow Compton native Problem. The two dropped their collab project Rosecrans EP in April. They recently announced they will be expanding the project into a full length LP.

Quik also recently reunited in the studio with frequent collaborator Suga Free and has been working on his upcoming project The Resurrection 2.

Quik remained mum on the person he will soon be taking to court. But like he said, we'll see.
