Denzel Curry has a ton of momentum right now after being named to the 2016 XXL Freshman class. The Carol City rapper was out in New York for last night's (June 28) Freshman show where he kicked off the festivities. After rocking the stage at the PlayStation Theater, Curry made an appearance on today's (June 29) episode of Sway in the Morning.

Following tradition, Denzel Curry stepped into the Five Fingers of Death for a freestyle during his appearance on the show. Sway switched things up a bit by using beats exclusively from Miami artists. This produced an entertaining freestyle as Curry flowed over everything from Rick Ross' "Hustlin" to Trina's "B R Right." And unlike many who step up to the challenge, the Florida native did his entire freestyle off the dome.

An interesting moment of the performance came when SpaceGhostPurrp's "Grind on Me" closed out the freestyle session. Denzel Curry had been in a beef with his former Raider Klan cohort, but the two recently squashed it. Curry explained why he ended the beef in a series of since deleted tweets.

"People asking why I squashed it I’m asking why should still beef with someone when I’m elevating," Curry wrote. "Me and Purrp squashed it X is not ULT. That’s what it is. I’m not friends with neither. And I don’t fuck with Mike Dece either. But I wish the best for all of ‘yall. I’m no longer working with nobody from the underground. Shit wack as hell now. Nell, Rell, Mook, Lofty, Ruben, Posh, Freebase Ronny, Nick, Yoshi, JK, Sdot, Simmie, Twelve’len and that’s it. Don’t mention your favorite underground rapper either. All of them are just the same fake. I helped niggas and get disrespected."

Denzel Curry might not be friends with SpaceGhostPurrp, but it is good to know that the ill way has faded. The two made great music together in their younger days, so it's nice to see them patch things up to some extent.
