Over the weekend, 50 Cent was arrested after performing on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts, having violated their laws against the public use of profanity. While 50 was warned against the use of expletives, there really isn't any way around the hook on "P.I.M.P." and so the rapper was booked for using indecent language shortly after his set.

Now, Billboard is reporting that 50 was originally scheduled to host the St. Kitts Music Festival and was asked to perform upon his arrival to the island. According to one of the rapper's associates, identified only as Rocky, there was no clause in 50's contract specifying that he could not use profanities. "It was only when he was about to go onstage that the police commissioner told him he couldn't say fuck, he didn't mention that he couldn't use any other curse words, so I guess it was ok to say bitches, hoes, whatever -- but just don't say fuck," Rocky explained.

Rocky as well explained that 10 to 15 police entered 50's dressing room where, as local media has reported, the rapper cooperated with the officers. He and bodyguard Bajar Walter were taken to the Basseterre police station and held for approximately three hours. The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force then posted on its Facebook page that both men were granted bail of $5,000.00 Eastern Caribbean dollars (about $1,820) and ordered to surrender their travel documents. According to Rocky both were required to seek locally based attorneys prior to their appearance in court, at approximately 5 a.m., for a Sunday morning appearance. 50 and Walter were tried and pled guilty to the use of indecent language charges. They each paid a fine of nearly $1,100.

"We just want people to know we ain't mad about this, we all had a good time," Rocky said. "50 enjoyed it so much he decided to stay longer and go to Nevis today (Monday, June 27) and we would come back and perform in St. Kitts again anytime they would like to have us back."
