The XXL Freshman Class of 2016 has officially been revealed!

Who are the lucky ten who made the grade this year? Oxnard, Calif.'s Anderson .Paak; Atlanta's 21 Savage; Pompano Beach, Fla.'s Kodak Black; Philadelphia's Lil Uzi Vert; Cheltenham Township, Penn.'s Lil Dicky; Harlem's Dave East; Carol City, Fla.'s Denzel Curry; Brooklyn's Desiigner; Chicago's G Herbo and the 10th Spot winner, ATL's Lil Yachty have all been chosen to claim their positions in hip-hop history. Taking place for the ninth year in a row, this year's class, dubbed "The New Wave," are crafting chart-topping hit singles, touring the world on their own terms and redefining the meaning of hip-hop as a whole.

And now, fans of rap's rising stars can catch this compilation of new talent all in one place. Just like years past, XXL will be hosting its annual showcase for the new Class at New York City’s Playstation Theater on June 28. This is the chance to see your favorite new MC show and prove. With industry co-signs, surprise guests and crazy stage presence, you never know what will happen or who will show up at a XXL Freshmen show.

Doors open for the show at 7 PM and the event is ages 16 and up. Tickets for the 2016 XXL Freshman NYC show are available now at AXS.
