After his video with Nipsey Hussle for "FDT" was shut down by police in April, another YG video has been interrupted, with TMZ reporting that while filming his video "Thug" with AD in Compton, more than 200 people were sent running when shots rang out. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon (May 15), with production coming to an immediate halt once the shots were heard. According to law enforcement, Bloods and Crips were on set and the shooting is believed to gang related.

According to the celebrity news site, officers found approximately 30 shell casings from an AK-47 on the ground as well as a handgun. YG and his crew were detained for a short period afterward, with police still uncertain who owned the recovered firearm. Thus far, no arrests have been made, and nobody was struck during the storm of shots. A representative for YG has told TMZ that he had no involvement in the incident and cooperated fully with police.

YG is expected to drop his new album Still Krazy this June, with a new single “Why You Always Hatin?” debuting on OVO Radio on Saturday, May 21. The news relating to the rapper in recent weeks has been dramatic to say the least, as he shared back in April that the Secret Service was monitoring him and his music after the anti-Trump song "FDT" was released.
