Orlando, Fla. rapper Woop has been sentenced to two years and six months in jail for throwing or shooting a "missile" at a building or vehicle, according to the Florida Department of Corrections website. His current release date reads April 4, 2018.

Back in December of 2015, the rapper born Charles Ford was arrested in a brutal robbery on an Orange County apartment complex. In the apartment where a 22-year-old guy was beaten so badly he'd need surgery, SWAT found numerous guns and 11 people, including two women and a four-year-old child. Investigators believed the crime was "gang-related."

Woop was one of the hottest rappers in Florida for a minute with songs like "Pussy Nigga" and "Go Away," the latter of which even got a remix by the Migos. His two tapes Woop Nation (2013) and Woop Lingo (2014) were well received, though his third and most recent project IDGAF from 2015 fell by the wayside.

Another rising rapper from Florida is Kodak Black, and they were both scheduled to play at SOB's in New York City last October. But neither of them showed up, with rumors that one or both of them had been pinched.
