Schoolboy Q's album finally has a release date. The Los Angeles rapper went on social media today (May 31) to announce that his LP is scheduled to drop on July 8. One of the messages came via an Instagram video message featuring Q's daughter.

The long awaited album from Schoolboy Q may have a release date but it still does not have a title. With the project scheduled arrive in just over a month, one would have to expect that Q or Top Dawg Entertainment will unveil a title for the LP in the near future.

The currently untitled effort will be Schoolboy Q's fourth solo album and TDE's second release of 2016. The label has teased major releases from multiple artists on their roster for the year. To date, Kendrick Lamar's untitled unmastered. has been the only project put out so far.

Today's release date announcement comes just a few days after Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith voiced his frustration with the sales for Schoolboy Q's single "That Part" featuring Kanye West.

"Who bought Q single?" Tiffith asked on Twitter. "We have over 11m followers and his single sold 26k the 1st week. Y’all beg 4 it. Explain that support 2 me… lmao."

Tiffith laughed at some of the excuses fans provided for not buying the single. He stressed that sales are necessary if they are going to keep demanding new music.

"I’m 😂😂😂😂😂😂 at y’all excuses…. Now stop cursing me out about releasing music lol," Tiffith wrote. "Y’all have 2 really support these records y’all keep asking for."

The brass at TDE are clearly hoping for more support when Schoolboy Q's album drops this summer.
