Live shows are the lifeblood to career longevity in hip-hop. It doesn't matter if your song is 10 or even 20 years old, if you can perform the hell out of it and get the crowd to feel as hyped as you are, you're golden.

Travi$ Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West and more come to mind when thinking of the best rappers putting on shows in the rap game. But let's not forget about supergroups like Wu-Tang Clan, the Hot Boys and Dipset holding down the stage as a tribe. Just this past weekend, Puff Daddy and the Family held the highly-anticipated Bad Boy Reunion Tour and put on one of the livest ensemble concerts Brooklyn has seen in years.

Much of the performance value at a rap show lies in crowd interaction. That's why rap commonly uses the call-and-response tactic, has spawned its own type of dance and was the first music genre to invent and introduce the use of the hype man. Some hype men have even gone on to have lucrative crossover careers as rappers themselves -- Flavor Flav, Memphis Bleek and Tony Yayo, just to name a few.

Whether they use pyrotechnics, a live band or spoken breaks, hip-hop's most charismatic performers know how to entertain a crowd of 50 or 50,000 with ease. With festival season and summer tours in full swing, XXL asked fans to sound off on which rapper puts on the best live show and why.
