In 2012, Ice-T released the documentary The Art of Rap, detailing the rise of hip-hop music and the artists who elevated the medium through lyrics, beats, performance and more. Now, the film will receive a live accompaniment, as a touring festival by the same name has been announced, and it features a veritable Hall of Fame of hip-hop performers.

Ice-T, Public Enemy, Naughty by Nature, Mobb Deep, EPMD, Sugarhill Gang, Kurtis Blow, MC Lyte, Grandmaster Melle Mel and Scorpio will all tour the U.S. together this summer on an eight city tour, though the lineup varies some from city to city. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 13, with things kicking off roughly two months later in Dallas, Texas.

For ticket information and additional details on the tour, visit The Art of Rap Festival website, with the full list of dates included below. The lineups for each date are available on the website, with additional performers like Doug E. Fresh, included on a few dates. Last spring, Ice-T held a single festival date in California with The Game and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony headlining.
