Post Malone is quickly becoming one of the most polarizing and intriguing new faces in music. To show off his versality, the Syracuse-born rapper has been doing more and more performances of overtly rock covers.

A video snippet surfaced online of the "White Iverson" star performing Nirvana's 1991 single "Lithium" at last month's Coachella Music and Arts Fesitval and over the weekend (May 7) the full video finally popped up. Post and his new band Raw Dog performed at a private party held by Republic Records. In the video posted by Boomshots TV, Post and guitarist Andrew Watt are seen having a full-on jam session on stage in sunny La Quinta, California. Post looks right at home with an electric guitar in hand and even attempts a Chuck Berry duck walk, but the climax of the clip comes when he smashes the shit out of his guitar as the grand finale.

This isn't the first time Malone has covered a rock legend. Back in 2013, Post gave a nod to folk star Bob Dylan with this "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" cover. He also covered Kanye West's "Heartless" for BBC Radio 1. If his latest career moves (touring with Justin Bieber, previewing a melody-laced mixtape last month) are any indication of Post's musical trajectory, the gold-toothed rapper is refusing to be boxed into just hip-hop.
