Marc E. Bassy and G-Eazy Are Lovesick in the Video for “You & Me”

Marc E. Bassy is the definition of lovesick in his new video for the single "You & Me." The brand new visual dropped today (May 23) and finds the California crooner mid-heartbreak in L.A. While he sings through his pain on an island-vibe type beat, the Bay's G-Eazy comes in with the third verse to chronicle just how his breakup went down.

"Remember when we first met we might've been too young/But we was from The Bay so we both was going too dumb/I used to be the one for you now you got a new one/So 'til the next lifetime, maybe we can do something."

This definitely isn't the first time Bassy and G-Eazy have teamed up together. Bassy appeared on G-Eazy's When It's Dark Out album last year on "Some Kind of Drug" and spent the beginning of 2016 performing to sold out crowds on Eazy's When It’s Dark Out tour with A$AP Ferg. Bassy also has connections with IAMSU, Skizzy Mars, DJ Mustard and former XXL Freshman Ty Dolla $ign. When XXL interviewed the 28-year-old former songwriter for The Break, he made it quite clear where he's trying to go with his own music.

"My ultimate goal really in all seriousness is to put real substance into my music and it’s really hard to get there to open the door to get people to listen to you and appreciate you" explained Bassy. "And you can’t be preachy and I don’t want to be preachy. I don’t want to tell people how to live their lives, but there’s so much shit going on in the world that people don’t pay attention to. No one writes about it in their music. And I love where music is at right now but there’s literally not one person I can look to besides Ty sometimes and Kendrick."
