Lil Yachty had a busy week in New York and along with making an appearance at Young Thug's show, the young MC got up with W Magazine for a photoshoot and interview. Along with an exclusive Q+A, also got its hands on new music as the accompanying video featured a preview of "Summer's Song 2," which his set to drop this summer, per his manager Coach K.

The song definitely doesn't stray far from the formula that has Boat's name buzzing. Featuring lines that will fit in 140 characters or less and an instrumental that allows the Atlanta native to harmonize, Yachty isn't reinventing the wheel with his upcoming track.

During the interview with W, the rising rapper explained where he got his name from and the difference between "Lil Yachty" and "Lil Boat."

“In high school, there was a group of older kids who called themselves the ‘Yacht Club,’” he said. “I was trying to get in the club.” They eventually let him in, but he had to start from the bottom as Lil Boat, which has since become his alter-ego. “They’re the same person,” Yachty continued. “Same soul. Same body. But one is more calm and the other is more aggressive.”

Yesterday (May 3), Yachty dropped the video for "1 Night" and with a green screen behind him, the rapper and his crew put together an eccentric clip. With plenty of props and some digital alterations, Yachty brings the internet to life and gives a peek into what the future of hip-hop looks like.
