Kevin Gates Listens to a New Freestyle of His

Beyond his own songwriting talents, Kevin Gates may be best known for his unapologetic honesty. In years past, he has owned up to sleeping with his own cousin and not being afraid to eat out a significant others' rear parts. In a new Instagram video shared by his wife Dreka Gates, the Louisana rapper can be seen rapping along to a new freestyle of his.

Gates' flow never once lets up on the gas, the rapper letting his rap hands go as he drives his Corvette. Early on, he spits, “Lean keep a nigga cool / That dog food I used to use it / I’m going hard with the music / Cocaine distributor.” Dreka captioned the video with "on the way to work! Thou shalt not judge." Dog food, for the unfamiliar, is a slang term for heroin given the drug's appearance in raw form.

Based on the video, it appears the new track is playing off of Gates' phone, and may be featured on his upcoming mixtape Murder for Hire 2. About a month ago, the rapper tweeted that his label, Atlantic Records, is preventing him from releasing another album until February 2017 and so he's prepared to leak the follow-up to his 2015 tape at any moment's notice.

Gates recently performed "Really Really" and "2 Phones" off his album Islah on Conan, and the above video may be an indication that his new music will be just as revealing and undeniable, if not more so.
