May 17 will mark one year since Chinx Drugz was killed in Queens and sitting down with Funk Flex in support of his new video for "Figure it Out" and news of his deal with Epic, French Montana expressed great disappointment and concern that the case remains unsolved.

"Imagine dealing with somebody that's really your brother then your brother gets killed and you don't know who killed your brother. And even the police can’t find that out. How do you feel safe? How do you know they're not coming for you next?" he said. "As far as New York, it's funny cause those kind of people supposed to be doing their job. I’m very disappointed cause guess what, they put me in great danger... At the end of the day I just feel like justice should start doing justice." In mid-April NYPD detectives said that they believe Chinx was a target in the shooting rather than a drive-by casualty.

French also spoke on the similarities between Future and Desiigner, saying "Whatever the new vibe, as long as you the new vibe and everybody trying to sound like you, you should feel like you that guy. As far as Future, I don't think he should feel no kind of way. I love 'Panda.' It just went number one, from New York. You know I was the first one to call [Desiigner] to come to the studio. I wish I had signed him."
