Florida rapper Shay Baby was gunned down in Gainesville, Fla. days after posting the video for his song "Cold Outchea." According to The Gainesville Sun, Ishmael Daniels, a 28-year-old Gainesville native, allegedly shot and killed Shay as he sat in the driver seat of a rented Dodge Charger during the wee hours of Monday (May 2) morning. The report states that a witness in Daniels' car told police that the gunman was offended by the "Cold Outchea" video that went up on April 30.

The Gainesville Police report said that Daniels trailed the MC's car until he parked. The alleged shooter then pulled out a high-powered rifle and fired more than 10 shots through the window of the Charger, hitting the rapper multiple times. A passenger who was riding with Shay Baby was hit once, but escaped from the car and ran off. The passenger later gave police a description of the shooter's rented vehicle.

The passenger in Daniels' car told police that after the shooting, Daniels cleaned the car with bleach in attempt to get rid of any evidence. The police nabbed Daniels during a traffic stop and said that he smelled like bleach when taken into custody.

Police have not found the murder weapon as of press time. As a convicted felon, Daniels, who was found guilty of a 2013 drug-trafficking charge, is prohibited from carrying or having access to a weapon. He was arrested on one count of murder, one count of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is currently being held on $1 million bail.
