Chance The Rapper can't lose. With his newly released Coloring Book project currently captivating the masses, he continues to bust moves with his team Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment, dropping the new track "The First Time."

Produced by The Social Experiment, Nate Fox and Donnie Trumpet, the song starts off with a dreamy soundscape and Chance laying a slow intro before moving into the brief poetry-like verses. "Wave my gun in the air like white flag/Draw your rifles like stick figures, quickly/No details, no recoil, no regrets/Raise my heir like, raise my daughter, slowly/Don't know the answer but I know the ending/Never no after they only live happily," he croons.

After the verses, the production speeds up and expands with the addition of a chorus of singers that includes background vocals from J.P. Floyd, Cam O'bi, Dustin Green and Ady Suleiman.

The artwork, a captivating view of waves crashing from the seashore, was captured Amy Narodovich.

CTR's Coloring Book is enjoying huge success despite being free to the public. According to Billboard, Chance’s third mixtape, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, is the first work to debut within the top 10 on the Album 200 charts solely off streaming.

The project was streamed 57.3 million times in seven days as an Apple Music exclusive. Enough streams to equal 38,000 album sales.

Those numbers should only get bigger as the project was recently made available to other streaming services such as Tidal and Spotify.
