Chance The Rapper is riding high off the success of his recent mixtape drop Coloring Book. However, it seems Chano isn't completely allergic to losses. Based on a since-deleted tweet from yesterday, Chance lost nearly $250,000 after organizing the one-of-a-kind Magnificent Coloring World event in his hometown Chicago. See a screengrab of the tweet below.

Apparently, the similarities between Chance and his idol, friend and collaborator Kanye West go deeper than music. Like 'Ye, Chance has ideas that go beyond the rap world, as evidenced by the young emcee's efforts to curb violence in the Windy City and his team ambassador-like work with the Chicago White Sox.

Magnificent Coloring World is another constructive idea outside of music. However, according to Chance's Twitter account, economics have become a factor, and he needs sponsors to afford a potential follow-up event.

After Kanye explained on "Real Friends" that he paid his cousin $250,000 to retrieve a stolen laptop, it's interesting that Yeezy's apprentice has now lost the same amount – just for different reasons. Stay tuned to XXL to see if Chance is able to come through with another Magnificent Coloring World. Until then, peep the highlights from the first event below.

In terms of the music itself, there's been nothing but positive feedback surrounding Chance's Coloring Book. This week, Billboard reported that Coloring Book is the first project to debut within the top 10 on the Album 200 charts solely off streaming. Add that to the list of achievements in Chancelor Bennett's blossoming career.
