It may be tougher to sell albums these days, but that did not deter the fans of Aesop Rock from showing their support. The "Daylight" rapper went on Instagram today (May 9) to thank fans as his new album The Impossibile Kid earned him the best first week sales of his career.

"Kirby wanted to thank you all for making The Impossible Kid the best first week sales I've ever had," Aesop Rock wrote. "It's getting harder and harder to sell music every year, and you are fighting an industry-wide trend. Love out to Rhymesayers, Biz3, UTA, Alex Pardee, Rob Shaw, and everyone who contributed time, work, riffs, vocals and more to the project. Thanks y'all."

The Rhymesayers artist will have an opportunity to thank many of his fans in person as he's currently on a massive U.S. tour in support of the album. Check out the list of remaining dates below.
