50 Cent Donates $100,000 to Autism Advocacy Group After Mocking Teen on Social Media

50 Cent was on his bully shit last weekend as he made fun of a Cincinnati airport employee and accused the young man of being on drugs. After posting the clip on Instagram, people pointed out to the rapper that the employee, named Andrew Farrell, was not on drugs but has a form of autism and Asperger's syndrome. The 19-year-old also has severe social anxiety.

Farrell's mother and stepfather threatened to file a lawsuit against the Queens, N.Y. native but said they would be willing to let the whole thing go if he donated $10,00 to Autism Speaks, an autism advocacy group.

According to TMZ, the rapper donated $100,000 to the group and released the following statement:

"I want to turn this misunderstanding into an understanding. There are people that are ignored, mistreated and neglected with disabilities that need our support. Today, I have made a donation of $100,000 to this worthy cause through Autism Speaks. I am calling on my fellow musicians, actors, entertainers and all others who may not have fully considered this cause to join together to help in any way they can."

Along with the donation, the Get Rich or Die Tryin' MC also made a public apology for the incident via the New York Post's "Page Six" section.

“While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man. It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologized personally to him and his family.”
