Those interested in television, dragons or cultural talking points know that HBO's fantasy drama Game of Thrones has returned for its sixth season, sending shockwaves throughout the larger pop culture world. And The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon being the institution that it is, it's only right that they turn such an event into something viral, which is exactly what happened earlier this week.

Pulling from his box of audience-provided suggestions, Fallon asks Black Thought of The Roots to spit a recap of the Game of Thrones season premiere and he does so with spell-binding clarity. Now, Thrones is a show rich with characters and plot lines, so the unfamiliar will no doubt glean absolutely nothing from the rapped recap and fans who haven't seen the episode are in for an avalanche of spoilers, but for those who have seen it, the clever concision Thought is able to provide further solidifies him and The Roots as a band on a cultural plain entirely their own.

The worlds of Thrones and hip-hop aren't entirely unfamiliar with one another, as last year, a mixtape titled Catch the Throne: The Mixtape, Vol. 2 featuring Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Wale, Common, Big Boi, Bodega Bamz and more released ahead of season five.

Check Black Thoughts impressive recap above and tune into HBO at 9 p.m. EST for new episodes from of Game of Thrones. Black Though, Fallon and the whole Roots crew will no doubt be watching.
