It wasn't all that long ago that Snoop Dogg released his 13th studio album, with the Pharrell-produced Bush dropping in May of 2015. But based on the above video, posted to Instagram on Sunday evening (April 10), the Doggfather is already back in the studio with Just Blaze and Nipsey Hussle.

In the clip, Jus is head-knodding in the studio, playing something that sounds entirely too mean for Snoop to stand by idly. "Motherfuckin’ Just Blaze is cooking right now. Ooh, and that’s all for me? Oohwee," he says in the video, writing "@justblaze cooking for the Dogg next Album. July 2016" below as a caption. Considering April is nearly at its midway point, that new Snoop album will be here in practically no time.

Jus took to Twitter himself the same evening to echo Snoop's sentiments. "New album alert..." he wrote, channeling his inner DJ Khaled. "Right place right time, next thing, I got @Nipsey Hussle and @SnooopDogg in the booth trading bars. Got me engineering and recording vocals like its 2001 again."

Just Blaze previously produced Snoop Dogg's "Lollipop" off 2002's Paid tha Cost to Be da Bo$$. He references 2001 though, the year he produced a majority of Beanie Sigel's The Reason as well as significant portions of Jay Z's The Blueprint and Busta Rhymes' Genesis.

Snoop later posted a pic to Instagram of himself and Nipsey, writing, "Crippen cuzzinz cuzzz." Check out Snoop's posts both up top and further down, while Just Blaze's tweets are included just below. If Snoop is serious about the July release date than a pre-release single should be dropping in the coming weeks.
