ILoveMakonnen and Lil B Drop “Can’t Let It Go,” Announce Joint Tour

Late last week, iLoveMakonnen announced an upcoming mixtape with Lil Yachty, but the Red Dragon links up with a different enigmatic rapper today for a new track and upcoming tour. Produced by Jae Marley, "Can't Let It Go" features Lil B, a fact Makonnen was incredibly excited about.

On the song's SoundCloud page, the Atlanta rapper writes, "THANK YOU BASED GOD! YOU ARE THE LEGEND I ASPIRE TO BE! THANK U FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE FOR HUMANITY! U ARE A TRUE SUPERSTAR IN HUMAN FORM SO GLAD TO CALL U MY FRIEND/ BROTHER,/MENTOR /INSPIRATION TO US ALL!!!!!! SO PROUD TO SHARE THIS TRACK WITH THE INTERNET!"

The track itself is a notice to biters past and present that the two see their style getting aped. Makonnen sings on the hook, "I see them tryna steal the flow, and I can’t let it go," and later, "I see them cookin' at they shows," as evidence of the theft. Lil B backs it up, pointing out how his sound and style have made it to the radio even if he hasn't. "Still cookin’ swag at the same damn time / Heard the radio, ain’t that my line? / Heard the radio, ain’t that my swag?" he raps. Elsewhere, he questions how rappers might react if their plans for success get derailed, rapping, "How you gonna feel if you don’t get a deal? / Will you stop rapping or would you keep it real?"

Makonnen and Lil B will also be hitting the road together, though details are unknown at this time. Makonnen posted the below tour flyer to Twitter Monday night (April 18), with the image likewise serving as the "Can't Let It Go" cover art. Listen to the track up top.
