Fat Joe and Remy Ma currently have their single "All the Way Up" in heavy rotation, and in support, Joe visited 106KMEL's Shay Diddy to talk their joint album and the recent rumors that he has been withholding royalty money from Big Pun's widow. Around the 18:50 mark in the video above, Joe addresses those allegations, saying that at the time of Pun's passing, he ensured his widow's financial stability through an album and publishing deal that yielded roughly a million dollars to her.

"It was really really sad, because if I died, nobody would give my wife or my family nothing. So I made it my business to make sure she got a check," he said. "To be slandered the way I get slandered is really uncalled for, but life goes on."

He continued to lament the state of his relationship with Pun's widow, saying that he wishes he could honor the rapper's memory in way that Puff Daddy does for The Notorious B.I.G. "She’ll never win because there’s no truth to it. We already in court for a year or something. I lose no sleep over that," he said. "It’s just unfair. Because of my and her relationship going so bad, I truly haven’t been able to celebrate the life of Big Pun. Puff Daddy puts out Biggie albums. I’ll be scarred to do anything cause she gonna make people look at me like I’m crazy. The only person ever did anything for her or her family is Fat Joe."

Beforehand, Joe spoke on his upcoming album with Remy titled Platas o Plomos, which he says will drop this July and feature Ty Dolla $ign, Kent Jones and others. Watch the full Fat Joe interview up top, where he says that Remy Ma couldn't join him because Kanye West invited her to Los Angeles to work.
