It appears that Drake likes his tour announcements to come in twos, as he follows up word of his own Summer Sixteen tour with Future by revealing the headliners for his seventh annual OVO Fest on Instagram on Monday (April 25). Taking place over the weekend of July 29, this year's OVO Fest will include sets by Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, who likewise themselves have a double-bill tour this summer known as The High Road.

A quick glimpse at that Snoop and Wiz road schedule shows that they were always planning to be in Toronto on 7/29, but with Drake's announcement, their presence becomes all the more official. In the years since its creation, the OVO Fest has evolved into Drake's own celebration of his city, a piece of the summer festival schedule that can be Toronto's own. This past February, Drake received the key to the city prior to the beginning of NBA All-Star Weekend, which the rapper had a hand in bringing to the Six. The star-studded event, like OVO Fest, furthered the effort made to place a spotlight on the Canadian city, particularly as an entertainment and cultural center.

The OVO Fest has built a reputation on having a who's who of A-list surprise guests, with last year's marked by the many Meek Mill meme's Drake unfurled in pure Jay Z-at-Summer-Jam fashion. Check out Drake's Instagram announcement above with further OVO Fest deals. All eyes will remain affixed to the rapper as his album Views From the 6, prepares to drop via Apple Music later this week.
