Dr. Dre's 2015 album, Compton, was not only a comeback effort for the Good Doctor, but also a breakout moment for newcomer Anderson .Paak. The duo's working relationship has made .Paak the next in line to be taken under Dre's wing, joining the likes of Snoop Dogg and Eminem as artists whose work with Dre landed them amongst the genre's elite and made them rich as hell.

During yesterday's (April 25) set at Coachella, .Paak was joined by Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre as the two superstars co-signed the Malibu artist as next up out of the West Coast. It marked the first time that Dre joined his latest protege on stage and fortunately for us, Beats by Dre cameras captured the lead up to the performance for the upcoming documentary "Beats by Dre Presents Anderson .Paak, 'All in a Day's Work' Feat. Dr. Dre.

"Every time I try to get out, they pull me back in," Dre says to the camera in the trailer for the documentary, subtly saying that an artist like .Paak has inspired him to get back in the lab.

In February, news circulated that Dr. Dre would executive produce and star in Apple's first original television show, Vital Signs. The news marked Apple's first public announcement that they were getting into the original streaming programming game and it will be interesting to see if the upcoming documentary will be a part of the programming rollout.
