Currensy Lights Up and Rides in “Smoking in the Rain” Video

Two of Curren$y's favorite past times are smoking joints and riding in classic cars. In his latest clip for "Smoking in the Rain," the Jet Life MC combines them both for a clean clip from The Carrollton Heist project with The Alchemist. Taking his Rolls Royce out for a spin, Curren$y lights up a joint and checks his phone as a light rain falls outside. Alternating between shots of the MC rapping while riding solo behind the wheel and him staring out his terrace window that overlooks the city of New Orleans, Spitta sticks to the script that has made him a cultish figure on the underground scene.

As he continues to pump out content from his collab with The Alchemist, Spitta is already plotting his next move. Having already dropped The Owners Manual EP, The Carrollton Heist, Weed and Instrumentals and Revolver in the first three months of the year, the proud New Orleans native has another project on the way. Teaming up with Purps from the powerhouse 808 Mafia team, the duo will drop Bourbon Street Secrets on, when else, April 20.

As if that wasn’t enough work, Curren$y will celebrate both the 4/20 holiday and the release of his project with a mini-tour. Starting with an April 19 show in New Orleans, the MC will make stops Houston, Dallas, San Marcos and San Antonio, Texas over the course of five days. Once he returns from the tour, Spitta will join Chance the Rapper, Tory Lanez, Desiigner and more on Summer Jam's Festival Stage.
