After standout verses on both the Kanye West and Macklemore albums, all eyes are on Chance the Rapper, whose last solo release Acid Rap will turn three years old on April 30. Word came out Monday (April 4) that Chance is gearing up to drop a new mixtape later this month, and based on an Instagram photo likewise shared on Monday, that isn't the only content Chance is releasing.

Austin Vesely shared the above polaroids taken by Yakub Films, writing, "It's a long time comin', but @chancetherapper Angels will fall upon you shortly." "Angels" first premiered back in late October when Chance and fellow Chicago rhymer Saba performed the track on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In the time since, tracks have been teased on Snapchat and performed by Chance himself, but there has been little in the way of definitive releases or announcements. Even news of the mixtape dropping this month comes with its share of dot connecting, as Chance made mention of the release date between songs at a recent New York City performance. In other words, there is yet to be any indication in writing from Chance that such a timeline is in effect.

The above Instagram post, however, is evidence that an "Angels" video, directed by Vesely, is indeed in the pipeline, with Vesely's mention of "shortly" adding to the vagueness shrouding the project. Stay on the lookout for any new releases from Chance this month. It was just announced today that he will be headlining the 2016 Summer Jam Festival Stage.
