It looks like Chance The Rapper is releasing his new mixtape later this month. Buried in a story about Chance The Rapper performing in New York City, an Esquire reporter claims that the Chicago native "announced that his next mixtape is due out this month."

The announcement apparently came in between songs during the March set. "Third mixtape coming next month," Chance said according to Pigeons and Planes.

Obviously, this is far from official. It's not the first time Chance The Rapper has teased his long awaited mixtape dropping either. The "Ultralight Beam" rapper previously hint that it would be released after his big performance on Saturday Night Live.

"Then the third tape slide down the chimney," Chance rapped, hinting at a Christmas release date. He would later concede on Twitter that the project was not meant to release on that date.

Since then, Chance The Rapper has only offered some teases for his new mixtape. Fans have not heard any concrete updates about the project, so it's understandable to take any news with a grain of salt.

For the most part, Chance The Rapper has been focused on collaborations. The Chicago rhymer has been very busy lending his talents to everyone from Kanye West to Macklemore. There's also been talk of him hitting the studio with the likes of Lil Wayne and T-Pain.

Outside of the music, Chance The Rapper is earning some big opportunities. The Acid Rap artist will throw out the first pitch for his hometown Chicago White Sox later this week.
