Why does 2016 keep blessing us? It feels like hip-hop is showering us with gifts like it hasn't done in years. Take Kid Cudi for example. Late last year he dropped off his Speeding Bullet to Heaven album to mixed reviews (Andre 3000 loved it though). It was heavily alternative for a guy who already skews far left on the hip-hop scale, but many fans found it too much.

This year's a different story. So far Cudder's only released two singles - "The Frequency" produced by Mike Dean and longtime collaborator Plain Pat, and this week's "All In" produced by the ever-evolving Mike WiLL Made-It. Safe to say the guy's on a fucking role. Both tracks are excellent improvements on Cudi's sound. Let's hope he keeps it up.

Rae Sremmurd also made their official comeback this week with "Look Alive," also produced by Mike WiLL Made-It (this is a good trend). And as if to assure us they haven't lost a step, the new single sounds gigantic. We'll know how good it is once we lose our minds to it at a party this weekend.

Dave East showed out for Harlem on Remy Ma and Fat Joe's breakout smash "All the Way Up." Across the country, RJ dropped a brand new single called "OMG" that's appropriately disrespectful as hell. And overseas, our U.K. friend Little Simz took some time out to vent her frustrations over a classic Kanye West beat. Plus, ASAP Ferg debuted his collaboration with Missy Elliott called "Strive." It's not on Soundcloud, but that hasn't kept us from bangin' it all week.
