This week was a diverse one in hip-hop. Meek Mill returned with a bang, Drake dropped two subtle singles, and Dej Loaf gave her fans a whole new mixtape, for starters.

Everybody thought Meek was banned from releasing music as part of his house arrest sentence, but his new "Trap Vibes" freestyle over Drake's "Summer Sixteen" and Desiigner's "Panda" flies in the face of that. Fans are happy, though - Meek is spitting fire on both tracks with the same energy that carried his well-received 4/4 EP. It bodes well for Dreamchasers 4, his long-awaited mixtape, and Self Made Vol. 4, the next MMG compilation.

Drake, who wasn't targeted at all in Meek's new freestyle, dropped two new singles of his own this week - "Pop Style" with Hov and Kanye that underwhelmed the masses at first, and "One Dance," a hot island-influenced joint that was the more popular track of the two. It sounded like the next step after Rihanna's "Work," and one has to wonder if she influenced the Six God on his latest single.

Dej Loaf came back with her first project since last July's #AndSeeThatsTheThing EP this week, dropping a mixtape called All Jokes Aside with production from Izze the Producer and DDS and a guest verse from none other than Silkk the Shocker. The Detroit MC is currently finishing her official debut album.

Elsewhere in the rap world, Snubnose Frankenstein dropped another filthy track this week with "Yellow Cake," his first solo track since last year's "Ironlung." RiFF RAFF let go of a new single called "Carlos Slim" alongside the announcement of his $4 million record deal, and Chris Brown grabbed a couple stars for yet another remix of his "Back to Sleep."
