Last month, the rap world was rocked by the tragic news that Bankroll Fresh was shot and killed outside an Atlanta studio. Days after, over a hundred local residents gathered outside the studio demanding it close after a second shooting in a six month span, and now, news out of Atlanta is that another studio shooting has taken place, this time inside a building known as The Metropolitan, that has left two dead.

Major Adam Lee III says in the above broadcast news clip, "At this point right now, we’re just trying to ascertain what happened. We have those persons of interest that we’re detaining right now. We’re questioning them to find out what motive are may have been for what happened."

As the local Fox 5 affiliate reports, police received a 911 call just after 8:20 p.m. and upon arriving at the scene, found two male bodies with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators are currently having a difficult time processing the crime scene, as a bullet pierced a water pipe, resulting in flooding throughout the studio. While police have yet to identify the two victims, they believe the men were in their 20s. Investigators, at this time, do not know what prompted the shooting.

The news comes within the same week that an aspiring Chicago rapper was gunned down at a park while shooting a music video. This type of senseless violence is never easy to report, particularly as it happens at recording studios, or other supposed safe havens.
