Twista was arrested for weed possession while on the way to a show in Indiana on Thursday (March 24) night. According to TMZ, the Chicago native was on his way to a scheduled performance at Big Shots, a club in Valparaiso, IN, when the Rolls Royce he was driving in was pulled over by police around 10:15 p.m. Cops say they pulled the luxury car over because it was following too close to a truck. When they approached the car, they smelled pot and asked Twista and the three other passengers to step out of the car. Following a search of the vehicle, police found weed and arrested all four men. Twista posted $500 bail early this morning (March 25).

Twista experienced a bit of a career renaissance in 2015. The proud Windy City MC teamed up with fellow Chicagoans Do or Die to drop Withdrawl, a six-track EP that featured newcomers like P Flawz and Scotty. The rapper still carries major weight in the Midwest and younger artists like Lil Bibby and Jeremih showed their respect to the veteran by joining him on "Models and Bottles." The quick-tongued MC also dropped Livin Legend, a seven-track effort to close out his strong year.

Fortunately for Twista, weed crimes aren't much of a setback these days so the charge shouldn't slow him down and barring any unforeseen circumstances, will likely serve as more of a nuisance than anything.
