MTV's  "Woodies" are undergoing a bit of a makeover in 2016 as the music media powerhouse announced last week that the show will take place at the South by Southwest music festival and will "look more like a festival" than a traditional award show. Along with the format change, MTV also said that they were going to feature 10 new artists who they feel are going to have a big 2016.

Among the artists announced as performers are A$AP Ferg, Jidenna, Kehlani, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals and Travis Scott, who is returning to The Woodies stage for the first time since 2013. "I did my first big performance at the Woodies and I'm excited to come back this year," Scott told MTV. "Get ready for the ride of your life!"

Hosting the show will be A$AP Rocky, who won an award in 2014 for the Skrillex-aided "Wild for the Night." "This is all bout shedding light on the music of this generation, the love and bond between different artists," the rapper told the Associated Press. "We want to shed light at The Woodies on those who influence a lot of people and those who don't get the credit."

Also on the bill are The Chainsmokers, CHVRCHES, Jake Garratt, Lukas Graham and BORNS. The "Woodies" will air live on MTV on Wed. March 16 at 9 PM EST.

The South by Southwest music festival will take place from March 15-20 in Austin, Texas.
