As Royce Da 5'9" readies his upcoming album Layers for an April 15 release date, the requisite roll out and promotion has him fully pushing his new single "Tabernacle." While fans will have to wait a day for the March 15 world premiere of the "Tabernacle" video, Royce teases what's to come in the above behind the scenes video.

In the clip, Royce introduces some of the actors in the video who will all be playing real figures in Royce's life. There's a stand-in for his manager as well as his frequent collaborator and friend Eminem, with the role of younger Royce being played by the rapper's own son. "It’s his first time being in front of the camera" Royce mentions in the video.

The song, which first dropped in early March, is a personal tale of a powerful day in Royce's life in which he welcomed his son, lost his grandmother and met Em. “I’m excited by every aspect of it," he says in the BTS clip. "There’s a lot that I can’t wait to see. I purposely didn’t watch some of the playback so I can actually be surprised. Normally I spoil it for myself."

Royce had said of Layers in a previous statement that this was "the first album that I spent a lot of time putting it together as a complete thought...I’ve learned a lot from being apart of B.M.E, Slaughterhouse and PRhyme and I’ve had the opportunity to use all of those experiences to better myself as artist, so it’s very exciting to see how those experiences will affect my career.”

Catch the clip up top and be on the look out for the official "Tabernacle" video tomorrow.
