Earlier today (March 18) Drake posted a picture to Instagram that looked like he was in the studio. Yes, good, Views From The 6 is almost done. But look up top. See that stack of $2 bills? They look a little familiar.

Earlier this week, footage surfaced of Kendrick Lamar in the studio with TDE co-president Dave Free. In the footage, K. Dot is seen counting a wad of $2 bills, and today Twitter user @brainfeeder_ connected the dots: could it be the same wad that Drizzy's got? New music plays in the background of the Kendrick videos, and later on you see him at the mic with headphones on. Peep all the videos below.

Maybe it's just a coincidence. Kendrick's doing shows in New Zealand right now while Drake seems to be in Toronto, so it's doubtful they were in the stu together this week, though anything's possible.

Or maybe they really are working on something. If so, it would fly in the face of what some people have taken as a sly shot at Drake from Kendrick on "untitled 02." At around the 3:32 mark on that song, it almost sounds like Kendrick is miming Drake's go-to flow, and some think it's K. Dot's clever dig at the Toronto MC.

It's always been friendly competition between the two, even after smash hit collabs like "Poetic Justice." It looked like we might have been getting some sort of project from Kendrick and J. Cole after their song swap on Black Friday last year, but we'll take a Drake and Kendrick song too.

While Kendrick just fucked the game up with his untitled unmastered. surprise project, Drake's been hard at work on his next album Views From the 6, which seems to still be dropping in April if Drake's recent Instagram post is any indication.
